Katie who runs the multiple award winning Ashfield House Hotel very kindly let us use her gorgeous venue for a styled shoot yesterday. I’ve been friends with Katie since I was a teenager, I know her family well, we literally live down the road from each other and my family think she’s wonderful. She really is wonderful. She’s such a caring and passionate person and it’s no surprise why her venue is so successful and has so much heart. If you are looking for a wedding venue then make sure you check out Ashfield. Not only is it absolutely stunning but they will bend over backwards to make sure your day is perfect. They’ve got an open day TOMORROW so go check them out!
I did a model call for this shoot and when Sasha got in touch and we started chatting I knew she was perfect for what I had in mind. She brought a vintage Jenny Packham Bridal dress with her and in addition I brought my own so we could give her two totally different looks. We would do an outdoor shoot which would have a much more boho theme to it and then idol would be a luxurious/Italian look. Sasha is getting married in May this year so it was a super lovely experience for her and she brought along her lovely sister too. We did a little bootcamp for posing in the morning which definitely paid off as she nailed it all day!
Amy Louise is a friend of mine who I met on one of Jonny Draper’s fantastic courses at coleslaw Hall last year. She was so helpful and we have loads of mutual tog friends. She has recently gone into video and knowing how insanely talented Amy is I asked if she fancied getting involved in this epic shoot. Thankfully she said yes and I just can’t wait to see her footage.
Matt Grainger was also there which was a fantastic surprise as I’ve loved his work for a while. There’s a really strong support network with lots of us photographers up north so it’s really cool when you get to meet people you’ve liked for ages. He was very busy videoing so I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us… I know what one of the video’s is but I shall leave it as a surprise for now!
I got in touch with Sarah from the Rose Boutique and asked if she could create one of her gorgeous flower hoops for the bride. It’s such a cool and stylish alternative for a Bride and her squad I’m totally in love with it!
I worked with Jade last summer on my last styled shoot at Ashfield and she’s absolutely wonderful so it was great to work together again. We have a wedding together this year too so I can’t wait for that it’s brilliant when you can work with suppliers you know and love.
Oh yes and me! I was doing my thing!
So here’s the photos and I hope you love them.
Thanks every one for a fantastic day xxxx
